The COVID-19 pandemic has, to put it lightly, disrupted production routines for hundreds of thousands of business owners. With many states enacting stay-at-home orders and the potential for a surge in case counts if states loosen restrictions too soon, altered business practices in response to COVID-19 could stay in place for months as business owners work to maintain a safe environment for their employees in a highly volatile situation. With that in mind, here’s to expect when getting your custom packaging here.

As a printer and packager, we are included as part of the essential critical infrastructure per the US Department of Homeland Security and remain open to provide custom packaging for you as always. Here’s what has changed due to COVID-19:

• We are limiting walk-ins in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19 within our local communities. All current and prospective clients are instead strongly encouraged to contact us by phone or email regarding current orders.
• The two exceptions are if you prefer to pick up your custom boxes at our sales office or need to discuss your packaging in person with a team member (and emailing reference photos, etc. is not an adequate substitute). In these cases, we request that you wear a face mask while in our sales office (we provide masks and hand sanitizer for client use).
• We are continuing to mail out packaging samples so clients can easily evaluate their options and make informed decisions for their packaging projects.

A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine states that COVID-19 can remain active for up to 24 hours on cardboard; outside of the study, it has not been shown to be transmitted through mail. All of our team members are adhering to increased sanitation practices, etc. to safeguard the health of everyone involved in your packaging order. Given the somewhat contradictory nature of existing data, however, we encourage you to err on the side of caution with box samples or deliveries of your finished packaging.

During this trying time, we’re continuing to provide full packaging services (including design services) to assist you in keeping production running as smoothly as possible.
